We are an online financial company based in Switzerland and serve customers around the globe. We need an experienced web developer – must have Joomla, PHP, and Java experience. Work location will be Pakistan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and upgrading Joomla based websites.
  • Responsible for maximizing efficiency and reliability of web sites.
  • Integrate external third party services.
  • Deployment of new developments on live server.
  • Work closely with team in Switzerland and ensure maximum and effective collaboration in order to achieve objectives

Skills/Attributes Required:

  • Must be a Computer Science / MIS / IT Graduate
  • Must have excellent English communication skills. The person will have continuous contacts, oral and written, with English speaking persons.
  • At least 2 years experience with Joomla with proven track record (live websites) of working with and developing Joomla components, modules, plugins
  • Proven experience with developing medium to large level applications using PHP/MYSQL
  • Excellent server-side Java & JEE development skills
  • Experience with web-service and API integration
  • Solid HTML, JavaScript & CSS development experience
  • Knowledge of AJAX technologies would be an added advantage
  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox etc.)
  • Knowledge of some or all of following will be an added advantage: Flash, PayPal, Google Checkout, Payment Gateways, XML, URL Rewriting, SEO, Blogs, RSS Feeds.
  • Attention to detail and customer orientation. High level of creativity, curiosity, and business mindedness. Ability to think differently and take initiatives. Ability to take ownership of projects.
  • Flexible attitude and maturity necessary for aggressive implementation of demanding projects

Other:

Schedule: 10:30AM to 7:30PM including one hour break, 5 days a week Monday through Friday.
