We are an online financial company based in Switzerland and serve customers around the globe. We need an experienced web designer with developer skills. Work location will be Pakistan – home office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the layout, appearance, and functionality of e-commerce website(s)
  • Understand the market and the requirements, and constantly improve customer experience and web site efficiency and return
  • Produce designs that are attractive for the target market, pages and sites that have an effective navigation system, easy to use, and have all the required functionalities and features needed for modern e-commerce sites
    • Planning for and presenting ideas for review
    • Designing draft web pages and site mock-ups for review
    • Developing web pages – HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash etc.
    • Testing for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions.
  • Design and development of e-marketing material such as banners
  • Work closely with team in Switzerland and ensure maximum and effective collaboration in order to achieve objectives

Skills/Attributes Required:

  • Must be a Computer Science / MIS / IT or Art, Design, or Media based Graduate.
  • Must have at least 4 years of proven professional industry experience working on web design, development, and web site management.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills. The person will have continuous contacts, oral and written, with English speaking persons.
  • Attention to detail and customer orientation.
  • High level of creativity, curiosity, and business mindedness.
  • Ability to think differently and take initiatives.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects. Flexible attitude and maturity necessary for aggressive implementation of demanding projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, DHTML, Javascript and CSS development, and
  • Strong knowledge of flash and other design applications such as Photoshop, fireworks…
  • Knowledge of PHP and MySQL
  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox etc.)
  • Experience with Joomla
  • Some experience with video creation. Knowledge of some or all of following will be an added advantage: PayPal, Google Checkout, Payment Gateways, API, Web Services, XML, AJAX, URL Rewriting, XHTML, SEO, Blogs, RSS Feeds.

Other:

Schedule: 10:30AM to 7:30PM including one hour break, 5 days a week Monday through Friday.
