Senior Quality Assurance Manager will be involved in managing a large QA team at Mobile Complete, Pakistan across parallel releases and will be reporting directly to the Director of SQA at our headquarters in San Mateo, California. Must Utilize prior QA/Technical management experience in an offshore setting and help to improve product quality and communication across two different geographies .The role will also be expected to bring a breadth of QA experience and best practices to the company. The offshore team is currently organized under three different QA managers and they will directly report to this position.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive experience with Software Test Methodology
• Ability to maintain flexible hours and work daily with the US team and managers and even, overnight if necessary is a MUST.
• Minimum 4-5 years test management and experience required. Preferably someone who has managed multiple teams
• Requires an ability to understand features and functionality and a desire to delve into both functional and technical aspects, not limited to project tracking alone.
• Experience dealing with offshore management on a daily basis in a technical role.
• Experience shipping customer facing products (software and hardware) required-multiple lifecycles preferred
• Experience managing test environments in a lab environment
• 2+ years experience of hands-on scripting experience with any automation tools like QTP, Load runner, Winrunner etc
• Must have managed a test automation team that has developed automation scripts frameworks/harnesses.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are crucial to this role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical degree desired

This is a senior position for an experienced QA Manager that wants to take on a unique challenge interfacing with the Engineering team at Mobile Complete.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple teams consisting of first line QA Managers
• Directly deal with local management in our offshore office and the role requires some amount of patience and diplomacy to handle junior and senior staff
• Besides the core QA team, manage Build & Release and Test Automation team
• Coordinate with Development, Support and Solutions team to get feedback about bugs reported both by internal team sand external teams and build coverage based on issues reported
• Manage test environments and test inventory
• As part of the testing be able to publish if all exit criteria are met before QA signs off. Responsible for shipping the product
• Manage Test planning for Releases and test case development using an in-house Test management tool for new product features to ensure complete requirements-to-test-matrix coverage
• Oversee reviews of test plans and cases, building consensus with developers
• Technical mentoring of peers and junior testers
• Setup frequent status meeting with supervisors, managers and engineers and help to improve and co ordinate on-shore offshore communication
• Test case execution and maintenance for assigned product areas
• Champion product issues with product owners and developers to help improve customer experience
