Requirements:

• Skilled in the administration of a multi-database environment.

• Schedule and oversee production maintenance tasks such as backups, index defrag, and DBCC tasks.

• Monitoring performance and tuning of highly transactional databases and applications.

• Expert at SQL language and optimizing SQL queries and procedures.

• Work with software development team to assess the impact of database changes on system performance.

• SSIS package development to perform production maintenance tasks and monitor systems.

• Installation of MS SQL Server.

• Install upgrades and patches to existing SQL Servers and Biztalk Server, both during normal business hours and off hours.

• Additional duties as determined.

• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field

•  2-4 years experience in the implementation and database administration/tuning of Microsoft SQL Server in a mid to large scale environment,  REQUIRED.

•  Must have excellent knowledge about the procedures that required to keep SQL server perform at its maximum, REQUIRED.

• Current Microsoft certification in database administration, a plus.
