Senior Software Engineer(.Net)
Responsibilities:
* Code, test and document software to agreed time scales,functional specifications and department standards
* Constructively review other team members ¦ contributions
* Work with the Support and QA functions to ensure the timely resolution of issues
* Participate in design reviews to set and maintain department standards
* Build strong customer relationships, visiting sites when necessary
* Mentor junior colleagues in design techniques and good practice
* Ensure that development activities are communicated clearly and professionally to other areas of the company
Knowledge & Experience:
* Excellent understanding of Microsoft .NET framework technologies, in particular: C#.NET (some VB.NET) ideally 3 years+ experience (though for exceptional candidates aptitude is more important than experience)
* Good understanding of relational database design using Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
* Sound knowledge of OOA/OOD, especially the use of design patterns
* Advantageous experience: web services, XML, WSE, SOA, systems integration, CF.NET, ASP.NET and web design skills
* Good technical academic background with a track record of innovation
* Experience working in a structured team environment on enterprise software development
* Hands on SCSF, WPF, Workflow, WCF will be preferred
