Project Manager - Karachi

We are U.S Based MS Gold Certified Partner & ISO Certified Software firm. We are looking for full time Project Managers to manage local and international projects, in Karachi.

Job Description
The Project Manager works under the direction of the VP and is responsible for the successful implementation of the projects at the customer site. This includes the coordination, organization and integration of all activities associated with the installation, implementation, and testing. the Project Manager is the communication point and has direct responsibility for negotiation and coordinating all resolution of all issues at the customer account

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain project plan
  • Schedule, allocate, and track project activities
  • Monitor the cost, schedule, and quality of the project.
  • Ensure project is executing as per the planned schedule, cost, and quality
  • Request for project resources and ensure their availability for the project
  • Collect and analyze project metrics
  • Forward issues received from Client to the related people for example if new requirements received from Client should be sent to Requirements Manager and etc.
  • Report the project status periodically to top management
  • Report the project status regularly to the customer
  • Communicate project issues and major accomplishments with client periodically
  • Identify/develop tools, standards, and guidelines suitable for the project in consultation with the Process Team.
  • Identify project related training for team members
  • Review and explain team members of their performance frequently and forward appraisals for approval to VP.
  • Inspect, acquire and control project specific, customer supplied material
  • Formally track problems and issues to closure
  • Ensure corrective actions for defects reported during reviews and tests
  • Communicate and work with other organizational departments to resolve project related issues.
  • Manage resources appropriately
  • Maintain the morale of team
  • Manage individual issues, concerns and needs of every team member
  • Facilitate team agreements

Job Specification

  • Knowledge of project management methods and techniques
  • Knowledge of information systems and operating systems
  • Ability to analyze Customers business needs and determine implementation project requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and issues
  • Ability to make presentations to customers
  • Ability to anticipate problems and initiate corrective action
  • Ability to persuade customer to accept the best solution to identified problems
  • Ability to coordinate other resources
  • Ability to write effective business communications
  • Ability to monitor project budget and operate within the contractual budgetary commitments
  • Ability to successfully manage and execute terms of the contract
  • Ability to work in an autonomous environment
  • Ability to complete tasks and reports in a timely manner
  • BCS/BS in Computer Sciences, B.E in Computer Engineering-MCS/MS in Computer Sciences will be preferred
  • MS Certification will be plus
