Applicant will be responsible to provide and implement overall security infrastructure thereby ensure protection confidently, integrity, and availability of information and information systems and reports to Director, IT & IS Section.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Enables the work of the Customer Support Center (CSC) by solving security related solving problems on a daily basis
- In support of change management within the data center, provides high quality network documentation to the customer support center (logical and physical layouts)of all security devices
- Analyses and documents network security requirements and define security policy for firewalls and other network control point devices.(e.g. switches, VPNs, routers, etc)
- Installs, configures, manages and monitors net work security devices
- Designs and conducts periodic and ad-hoc security, auditing of IT systems and networks to identify security incidents and breaches.
- Conducts tools based vulnerability assessments( ethical hacking)
- Monitors security logs to identify security breaches occurring in net work environments
- Regularly updated security policy to ensure maximum security of information and information systems
- Also responsible for network implementation/ enhancements in other duties as assigned
PRIMARY INTERACTIONS:
- Help desk - Solving problems regarding security policies
- Enterprise network Services - Assisting in solving net work problems and Implementing security policies
- Vendors - Hard ware support
Requirements:
- Advance level experience with network security and environment.
- Good understanding of TCP/ IP and other net work PROTOCOLS and services.
- Experience in auditing and interpreting network security devices/ applications
- Good understanding of different OS platforms advance knowledge of VPNs and encryption techniques
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in science or engineering
- Security certification (CCSP, CISSP, SSMP)
- Network professional certification
- 2-3 years in similar role
