Software Engineer - Embedded applications

Candidates: 4M Wireless is primarily looking to recruit fresh graduates or candidates with 1 or 2 years of experience, to take up the following responsibilities:
- Implement real-time embedded software to meet the requirements of our 3G PP compliant telecoms products
- Design blocks based on a set of external specifications or internal requirements
- Development work covers the latest 3G PP protocol layers 2 upwards
Required Qualification:
- BSc, MSc or Phd Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Computer Science
Required skills:
- C programming knowledge. Candidates with limited work experience should be able to show some interest in software development through personal projects
- Ideally knowledgeable in digital communications and mobile telecommunications
- Knowledge of or interest in real-time software techniques and microprocessor architectures
- Understanding of practical implementations and can devise practical and working solutions
- Pays attention to detail, demonstrates flexibility and interacts with team to meet common goals
- Readily takes up responsibility and shows enthusiasm in delivering high quality work
Further technical skills that are desirable include:
- Embedded development
- Windows, WinCE, Linux and RTOS device drivers
- compiler and IDE technology
- WLAN (802.11) protocols
- VOIP, SME,WLAN,TCP/IP, IPSec, SIP and RTP
- Wireless standards such as UWB, DVB, RDS
- 2G/3G protocol stacks, UMA and IMS
- Embedded testing tools and automation techniques
