AIRCOM’s suite of windows based cellular network engineering tools are truly market leading. We are currently looking for an IT Support Assistant to join with our Team in IT Department.
IT Support Position - Job Description:
The Support Assistant will be part of the AIRCOM International IT Services Unit and will deliver technical support to in-house users based in Pakistan. With in the delegated authority, the Support Assistant will provide day-to-day quality Help Desk Support service to Aircom staff by providing them with a single point of contact to report problems, to make inquiries, and to get resolutions and answers. In addition, he/she might get involved with different local IT Projects.
This position requires a competent and dedicated person who is either already or who would like to pursue a career in the IT/Telecom arena.
Experience Required:
General Support:
- 2-3 years in a technical IT support role.
- Experience in IT help desk
- Sense of urgency in sorting out issues raised by employees.
Technical:
- Technical degree or diploma.
- Technical product support (1st and 2nd line) to users.
- On-site installation and support on Windows based platforms.
- Knowledge of different Hardware Platforms Installation and Configuration.
- Strong understanding of PC hardware & application software.
- Experienced in support of desktop operating systems, particularly Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP and
- applications; MS Office, Mcafee AntiVirus and Exchange, VPN (Cisco client)
- Must possess excellent Windows Server understanding in Domain architecture, TCP/IP , DHCP and DNS.
- MCP/ CCNA are desirable but not mandatory.
- Understanding of Oracle Databases , Solaris and Sun Servers Systems would be added advantage.

- Technical - must be comfortable in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and be
- able to communicate well with users and peers on technical issues.
- Detail attention – must be able to understand technical issues with sufficient detail.
- Sense of urgency – must be able to react quickly to user requests.
- Enjoy challenges - must enjoy meeting and overcoming challenges.
