Shams Software Services (SSS) based in Karachi is a Business-processing unit for The Shams Group (TSG) based in Dallas, USA. We provide workflow-based software products in Data Warehousing, Document Imaging, HL7 interfaces and EMR/EHR based knowledge management solutions in the US Healthcare marketplace. SSS is tremendously expanding its base in Karachi and is in need of the following professionals:
System and Database Administrator
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively monitor database performance, identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks,
- Advise on SQL Server best practices for development and production environments,
- Analyze query plans and advise resolutions for increasing performance,
- Writing SQL code (stored procedures, triggers, database scripts) for database maintenance,
- Server Performance Tuning - Monitor efficient use of memory and CPU resources,
- Server Storage Management - Regularly monitor the usage of disk space on servers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience as DBA with Microsoft Sql Server 2000. Experience with MS Sql Server 2005 is added advantage.
- Excellent understanding of SQL Server architecture, administration, T-SQL, query plans and security
- Knowledge of Sql queries, stored procedures and DTS packages is required.
- Must be familiar with common tools like perfmon,poolmon etc.used to monitor server performance.
