Inov8 provides expert consulting services for efficient re-engineering of business processes.  i8 specializes in developing, licensing, hosting, operating and maintaining a host of technology functions for its clients. It offers the latest in e-business and wireless technology services, systems integration and various outsourcing options across a wide range of industries.

We currently have 3 openings in Lahore and Karachi. The job description is as follow:

• requires a 24×7 commitment
• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products
• Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
• Maintain documentation and standards
• Work as part of a team and provide 7×24 support when required
• Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams
• Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools
• A good understanding of the underlying operating system (Windows, Linux)
• Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
• Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
• A good knowledge of Oracle security management
• Sound knowledge of the implemented application systems
• Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle  sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning
• A DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, and systems administrators
• A DBA should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• DBA should possess a sound understanding of the business
• The candidate should be MS. in Computer Science or BS in computer science Technical skills: Should have expertise in Analysis of the Business Process and constructing Logical Design of database. During system development phase, should be able to work at back-end to manage development database for users privileges and schema bjects.
• Should have expertise in working with advance features of Oracle i.e. RAC(Real Application Cluster), RMAN, SQL*Loader, Import/Export, Data Pump, Log Minor, Flash Back Query, Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Sould be able to implement different types of Backup and Recovery strategies for different nature of production databases as devised by Sr.DBA(s) Should have expertise in SQL Tuning and familiarity
• with different SQL Tuning techniques. Should be able to perform all  database Administration, Performance Tuning tasks using Oracle (8/8i/9i/10g) on different Operating System platforms (Windows,
• Linux).
• Should have working Knowledge of Data Warehouse Analysis and Design and Implementation of Physical Design in Oracle Database.
• Experience: 1+ Years in case of MS, 2+ years in case of BS. All experience must be in Database Administration (Preferably Oracle)
