Database Administrator- DBA
The candidate is expected to work with our partner in Dubai as a DBA- Database Administrator. The ideal candidate must have:-
- Demonstrated experience in database administration and management of large SQL server relational databases in a production client-server environment
- Proven administration experience of Multiple SQL Server databases on a number of Windows servers
- Good knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance
- Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Data Transformation Services
- Good knowledge of database design, implementation and management, including stored procedures
- Good knowledge of server and database security implementation and administration
- Good understanding of the SQL Server, Rational Unified Process
- Certification: MCDBA and others
Required Skills:
- Define MS SQL 2005 Database Design, Standards and naming convention
- Database sizing and Server requirements
- Setup MS SQL 2005 Database Server with Clustering
- Setup Replication across the SAN (Different Location)
- Fine Tune the server for Better Performance
- Setup Monitoring process
- Define Performance Parameters
- Define Database Backup Policy
- Execute Database Backup Process
- Define Database recovery strategy
- Execute Database recovery process
- Provide technical direction to delivery teams to ensure the data management components of systems meet their design specifications and service targets
- Audit and review current database setup and administration
- Ensure that the MS SQL 2005 is installed, configured and fine tuned as per the best practices provided by Microsoft and other Industry Sources
- Identify and communicate potential risk areas
