Main Job Function

  • Senior Java developer and Singapore Team Leader for Project ELM, our Global Market Risk Exposure & Limit Management System.
  • The Singapore Team Leader reports to the local Head of Market Risk Development.
  • The Technical Manager also has a London development team.
  • The Technical Manager and an ELM Business Analyst report to the ELM Project Manager.
  • Singapore and London teams are both part of the Risk IT group, which sits in Global Technology.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Singapore development team (2 Person).
  • Create Technical Specifications.
  • Develop feeds from Trading Systems to ELM.
  • Develop (Mbean) components for Yolus server.
  • Create and maintain scheduling rules/configurations/build scripts etc.
  • Maintain quality of delivered system, through unit testing of own code and
  • peer review of others’.
  • Provide 2nd line support for ELM.

Experience Required

  • 5 years’ relevant experience, candidates with 7 years’ relevant experience will be prefered.

Skills / Aptitude Required

  • Strong J2SE Java developer.
  • Ant, Junit.
  • SQL/Relational Database skills.
  • Full Lifecycle experience (development -> production + bug fixes, 2nd line support etc).
  • Linux/UNIX experience with shell scripting.
  • Technical Writing.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, with good communications skills.
  • Proven people management responsibility and skills.
  • Used to working efficiently with remote teams.
  • Adaptable to change.

Skills / Aptitude Preferred

  • Yolus Enterprise Suite, openAdaptor, JDBC, Autosys, ClearCase, Eclipse.
  • Used to working in an agile, test driven environment.
  • Financial Institution background, especially Risk Management.
  • Preference will be given to “hybrid” types who have both business and
  • technical skills, as every team member is expected to contribute at every
  • stage of the project.
