Job Description:
Designs, develops, implements and maintains Livelink applications to meet business requirements. Leads a project-focused software development team responsible for providing quality solutions, support, and technical assistance to the business. Performs full range of systems programming responsibilities following best practice programming standards, techniques and languages and analytical capabilities to solve business problems and carry out the definition, analysis and design phases.
Responsibilities :
- Configures, customizes, maintains, and enhances Livelink software applications as required by writing efficiently operating program code from high-level functional specifications.
- Analyzes and designs new systems based on business requirements and technical specifications that have been reviewed and approved by the client and technical team.
- Evaluates, configures and builds front-end and server-side applications and database integration solutions.
- Manages vendor technical issue resolution using vendor and IT supplied tools.
Creates test plans, tests, and debugs developed programs for new and existing programs. - Works with quality assurance and business analysts to resolve programming issues throughout project testing phases.
- Prepares documentation of developed programs in accordance with software development methodology utilizing standard templates.
Prepares estimates of work effort and reports status, activities and issues in accordance with IT procedures. - Provides technical assistance on software and acts as backup systems administrator when necessary.
- Monitors all technical aspects of software, recommends, tests and implements performance-tuning solutions to assure the optimum configuration of the database, modules, and application.
Selection Criteria:
- Programming skills on .Net Platform/C/C++/Java, HTML, JavaScript/ VBScript
- Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming (OOA, OOD and OOP)
- Database Programming (Stored Procedures, PL-SQL/T-SQL) with MS SQL Server or Oracle
- Analytical Skills with Good level of Communication and Presentation Skills
- Hands on Experience on above mentioned skills
- BCS/BS in Computer Sciences, B.E in Computer Engineering-MCS/MS in Computer Sciences will be preferred
- Development experience with the Open Text Livelink enterprise content and document management system, including Livelink API (LAPI), Livelink Oscript module, forms and workflow development or comparable experience with other products such as Documentum, Stellent, and / or FileNet
