Key Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for developing software that meets requirements
• Identifies ambiguities, issues with requirements and design and provides feedback to Team Lead for elaboration and improvement
• Creates tables, classes and/or other entities in conformance to specified requirements and design
• Writes code, scripts, markup etc. meeting company standards and best practices
• Performs bug fixing in a manner that minimizes chances of bug reoccurrence or possibility of other undesired side effects
• Creates reproducible unit tests and performs unit testing to ensure that the assigned work products meet requirements
• Provides prompt support to customers (Level 3), effectively resolving issues identified by customers, in coordination with Level 2 and Level 1 Support
• Continuously strives to enhance maintainability of code and provides feedback and suggestions to the Team Lead for possible improvements in design, usability of relevant components etc.
• May assist Team Lead in performing impact analysis for software change requests
• May assist in writing specifications and creating other process artifacts relevant to his/her scope
• May participate in process definition and improvement efforts in coordination with Quality Engineering, for relevant process areas

Requirements

• BCS / MCS
• Fresh - 2 years of professional experience ·
• Expertise in Java, especially in J2EE and related technologies·
• Preference will be given to candidates with hands on experience with APIs and frameworks like Web Services, EJB, and Java network programming, Struts and Hibernate etc.·
• Ability to think in objects and patterns·
• Strong problem solving abilities and out of the box thinking
