Requirements/Qualifications

• 4+ years experience developing code for a large web-site using DHTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience developing server-side code for dynamic websites using application servers, SQL databases and languages such as PHP, JAVA, Perl or C++
• Experience building on-line recommendation engines and on-line community web-sites
• Good command of SQL
• Good understanding of Internet search and directories technology
• Experience developing applications that involve natural language processing and user generated taxonomy
• Good familiarly with the concept of tagging for user-generated content
• Good command of one of these languages: Java, C++, C#, PHP, Perl
• Good overall software design and development skills, and a passion to solve hard technical problems
• Ability to independently own, design, write and test features based on requirements
• Ability to estimate development schedules for owned features and to ship high-quality features on schedule
• B.Sc or M.Sc in computer science
