Sapphire Consulting Services (Private) Limited is looking for a candidate with excellent Linux Systems Administration skills, a strong background in networking fundamentals / network equipment installation & roubleshooting and good understanding of security related issues in a corporate IT systems.

The candidate will be supporting and maintaining the heterogeneous corporate network and applications both internally and at client site.

You will need to have the following type of skills to carry out this job:

• Experience with using and installing LINUX Desktop Applications.
• Experience of Enterprise Applications on LINUX platform is a big plus.
• Knowledge of Router, Switches, VPNs, Firewalls, Security and Wireless Networks.
• Strong Scripting Skills in PERL and/or Bourne Shell.
• Knowledge of High Availability, Fail over concepts and practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Building LINUX Servers from scratch.
• Deployment and configuration of infrastructure tools and utilities on LINUX Servers including Database/Application/Email Servers,
• Enterprise version of Open Office products, Network Monitoring Utilities etc.
• System Administration work within Corporate IT Systems including Backup & Recovery, System/Network Monitoring, Security Auditing, etc.
• Configuration/Maintenance of Routers, Switches and Load Balancers.
• Writing Scripts to implement processes and procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum two (2) years of Linux / Unix Systems Administration experience.

QUALIFICATION

• BCS or equivalent. Additional certification on LINUX Systems Administration will be a big plus.
