Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for automating and testing external and internal systems, ensuring that users and quality requirements are satisfied to specification. You will join the team responsible for maintaining our demanding product quality standards. Candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test strategies/cases for specific areas. In addition, candidate will be responsible for thoroughly testing the product through all phases of the development cycle (collaborative unit testing, regression/integration testing and end-to-end testing). Candidate is also expected to assist with requirement specification development. As a member of the QA team, candidate will be expected to contribute to refining our Best Practices to ensure that the highest product quality is maintained for every release. Candidate will be required to produce comprehensive defect descriptions, identify the cause, scope and impact of a problem.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the QA, Project Managers, end users, and development teams during the development test, and launch phases of the software development and release cycle. As a QA Engineer, you will: Review functional and design specifications, develop test strategies, test cases by performing user testing, application testing, system testing, usability testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, performance testing and verify results on supported platforms, perform database queries to validate test data, enter defects, work closely with developers in defect resolution, support live applications in production environments.

Skills:

• Familiarity with quality methodologies such as: CMM, ISO.
• Qualification Bachelors.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of the QA role, and all areas of application testing
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Capacity for attending to details
• Detailed understanding of the entire development cycle.
• Experience with defect tracking systems and other software life cycle management tools.

Requirements:

• MS in database stream with Datawarehousing course
• Development experience of 1-2 years
• Datawarehousing experience with Oracle 10g will be a big advantage.
